I have a AMD Radeon RX 580 8gb OC and i got told if i want it to be more cool and quiet i had to undervolt in the cost of performace..
Can undervolting cause any damage or reduce the life time of my 580 or nah? Btw undervolted from 1150 to 1000..(Noob question ik but im kinda new to this stuff so bare with me)

Undervolting will not reduce performance. Can even improve it slightly if the card was previously hitting temperature or thermal limits.

If you're not sure if you should believe what I said about it being safe in your other thread, here's a Tomshardware article about undervolting. https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/msi-afterburner-undervolt-radeon-r9-fury,4425-2.html

From the conclusion: "Lowering the voltage target really doesn't have any drawbacks. It's good for the electric bill, the environment and your ears."
