My PC specs:
KINGSTON Beast RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL16 KF432C16BBAK2/162x8GB DDR4 3200Mhz
ASUS PRIME H310M-R R2.0
INTEL Core i3-9100F
MSI GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER VENTUS XS OC
240GB Kingston A400

I was researching online a bit and found that Ryzen 5 3600 would pair good with GTX 1650 Super

However my motherboard is for Intel LGA 1151 so I'm thinking about upgrading my i3-9100F to i5-9400KF

I am doing 1080p League of Legends streams and I noticed that CPU usage goes to 100% very often so gameplay is not the smoothest

What do you guys think? Is it worth it?

6 threads IS better than 4, so yeah.

It's just a matter of what the net cost of the upgrade is (presumably able to sell your i3-9100F for some small amount)
Just upgraded my 8gb HyperX stick to these ones because I couldn't find the same HyperX one (2666MHz CL16, HX426C16FB3/8) can be sold for around 40$ + i3 9100F for around 80$

So I will have to add like 40-60$ for i5-9600KF

Is the GTX1650 running flat out (100%) in the same games? If so, fitting a "better" CPU will not improve these games.

I have several LGA1151 motherboards, but upgrading a system this ancient gives diminishing returns and can be poor value for money.

If the i5-9400KF is not very expensive compared with a modern CPU, I'd still be inclined to give it a try.

If you can afford it though, a more modern system (preferably brand new), will reap big rewards.
