I am thinking of upgrading my Gateway FX6850 with a new motherboard and power supply, also would a cpu upgrade or gpu upgrade be needed to? Computer use is mainly graphic design for my home business (Adobe products), web surfing and limited gaming when my son uses it (Origin, Epic Games, Steam, Roblox, Minecraft). I am planning on a RAM upgrade (DDR4 and more GB), if I get a new motherboard, especially with RAM prices more competitive these days.

Thanks for your comments and ideas ahead of time...

You need a new cpu if you want a mobo with ddr4. So cpu, mobo, ram and psu. You also want to look at the front panel connection since it's an oem prebuilt. Sometimes they have weird connections and may need a new case too.
