Hi Everyone,
A friend of mine has a iMac (24 inch, Early 2009, 2.66 Ghz Core Duo). He wants me to upgrade the Ram from 4GB to 8GB. My question is will this help? The most intensive thing he does is run Photoshop CS4. I'm sure it'll help some, but will it be really noticeable?

Solution
Yes upgrading is a good thing. One good thing that it takes the load off of the hard drive which makes the processes faster. Also if you do video editing rendering is faster too. But also find out what is the maximum RAM your 2009 iMac can handle and make sure what DDR version it is also make sure the RAM cards are apple approved. I did a search for you on Amazon more or less the prices on the RAM's for 2009 iMac
