Is upgrading to windows10 necessary

Hello. I am going to build my new pc soon and I am planing to buy windows 8.1 for it. My question is will I be able to upgrade it to windows 10 and will the current games (like battlefield 4, farcry 4, arma 3 and such games) run on windows 10?

My question is will I be able to upgrade it to windows 10 - yes - you should get a notification. Sometime after July 29th. Then you can choose if and when can Microsoft upgrade your PC to Windows 10.
