[SOLVED] Is using a 24 to 14 pin Power Supply adapter safe?

Hello, I'm currently using a prebuilt Lenovo Thinkcentre M83 Mini Tower, and got an RX 570 from Powercolor to use, but the motherboard on this machine has a proprietary 14 pin PSU connector, which means as is, I can't use my Corsair CX550 with it.

So I'm wondering, if I have a 24 pin to 14 pin Power Supply adapter, will it be relatively safe to use with my system? The entire system is an i5-4570, 16 GB of DDR3 1600MHz RAM, and 2 1TB Hard Drives, and planning to throw in the RX 570. Is there relatively little risk when using one of these in situations like this? Any information is much appreciated. Thank you very much.
