Is using a VGA to HDMI adapter really effective for gaming ???

You get slight less quality with an adaptor not more. The HMDI will have the same quality as the VGA.

Those adapters work.

There will be no improvement. It is impossible to improve the quality of a signal once it has been reduced to a specific quality level. Imagine a 480p video that you downloaded to your PC. You cannot boost the quality to 720p as you do not have the missing data required to get it back to 720p.

Try to avoid gaming with VGA if possible.

Surely, you mean HDMI to VGA, not teh other way around, right?

If i understood correctly and your monitor only has a VGA port, with a 750TI you can use the adapter i linked.
