Is VGA good?

Im forced to use my old monitor which is vga, is it good for gaming? its 21.5 inches, is there much difference to hdmi for gaming?

I have a monitor which supports both DVI and VGA. Recently switched my VGA cable for a DVI one. I see absolutely no difference in quality/performance.

I switched to DVI.But i see no difference. The difference is that VGA is an analog signal and DVI is a digital signal. So your with VGA your picture quality depends on how good your cable is. With DVI this doesn't really matter because its a digital signal.
