Is Vista worth an install?

I've heard many bad things about vista but also many goods things. I can now get any version of it i wish and was wondering if it was primary-os good yet? Anyone with experience with using the latest's build's opinion would be much apreciated.

I've tried it a couple times, and it's really not production ready yet. Really, the only thign to say about it is that it runs. Beyond the lack of driver support, Start ups and shut-downs take forever, there are still frequent crashes and freezing of applications, and anything that requires the processor seems to take twice as long on Vista as it does in XP. Overall, you're far better off to wait for it.

Try it out by all means, but it only runs *okay* on a fast system, not well at all on mid range and not at all on a budget PC. Definitely don't install it on a system you rely on, or even on a different partition of a hard drive you rely on.
