So i had an rx 580 which unfortunately died about 3 weeks ago. It had an option for something similar to vsync but without limiting framerate, and I'm not talking about freesync (whatever that does), it was another option which worked on any monitor, and preventer tearing. The thing is I'll be buying a 1660 super soon, and unless there's an option like that I'm gonna have to use vsync all the time because my 60hz monitor sucks and anything above 60 fps causes serious tearing without one of these 2. I'll also mention that I can't afford to get a monitor with a better panel right now.

Do you mean something like adaptive V-sync?

Do you wanna cap the fps to 60?
No, the exact opposite lol. It was an option in the card's settings, prevented tearing without limiting framerate. I want to know if it's available in nvidia cards as well, such as the 1660 super in this case
