Mixed results for me. Some games require some tweaking, others don't work at all. Mostly older stuff. Windows 7 had better compatibility from my experience. Unreal Engine 2 games don't like running full-screen in Windows 10 (heard it's the same with Win 8) unless you can get hold of a 64-bit version, and aside from UT2004 I haven't found an Unreal Engine 2 game that does. Sam and Max Seasons 1 & 2 just won't run, nor will the original GTA, just for two examples.

That said, with Windows 10 I could run Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor with the optional Ultra-High Res texture pack better, which recommends a 6GB or higher GPU (mine is 4GB). On Windows 7 if I tried it I'd get framerate drops if 8-10 enemies or more started attacking me. In...
I have been running windows 10 for a few months now, I have never noticed any difference from my previous Windows 7, although I do feel Windows 10 is a better OS all round, the little things like faster boot times and new start menu are great imo!

It should start to shine a little brighter as DX12 becomes a common thing.

can u pls tell me what is win 10 pro insider preview i m thinking to install it for good gaming is it good and nice?

I am very happy with Windows 10. At first I didn´t notice much other than a remarkably painfree installation.
No significant improvements or annoyances.

Then I had to re-install. I used windows 7 and upgraded to windows 10 afterwards. And I actually thought windows 7 was slower than I remembered it.

Benchtests shows a favor in Windows 10, both for games and programs. About 1-7% better performance.

Hi, I have almost the exact same setup, I have the following :

i5 4440
8GB Ram
Gigabyte R9 270x Windforce 2GB
Win 10

I have had no issues whatsoever, all my games work , from C&C Red alert to COD BO3

No, you can't join the Insider Program anymore. That was for beta testing before Win 10 was released. You're a few months late for that.

If you want it, you'll have to buy it.

Project Cars would also drop FPS when raining at night on some races on Windows 7, but on Windows 10 runs fine (though that may have also been subsequent performance patches for all I know).
