TL;DR: Is 'Lenovo QY Win8.1 Driver DVD V1.8 (as it says on the disc) a setup/install disc or something different?

I've been having issues resetting my PC. It originally came with Windows 8.1 but I did the free update. I always fill up my PC with crap that makes it super slow, so I'm used to just resetting my PC.

I did this a few times when I still had Windows 8.1 and there was no problems, ever since I updated to Windows 10, I haven't successfully been able to reset my PC.

So, my Lenovo E50 PC came with the disc: "Lenovo QY Win8.1 Driver DVD V1.8", I thought that was the install disc so I left it back in the box because the computer was already installed right out of the box.

Recently, due to all of the issues with resetting my PC, I thought I should just use the 'install disc', I found it and put it into my computer. Restarted the PC & it booted up Windows 10. I open BIOS & make SATA 2 (my DVD port) the highest priority when I start my PC, nothing changed. When I open the boot menu, I only have SATA 1 (my hard drive) which contains 'Windows Boot Manager', and 2 realtek options. (obviously not my DVD drive).

So, now I've tried all of the solutions I found googling my problem, I thought to myself, is this really the install disc? Like it's called Windows 8.1 driver. Just to be sure it was problems with reading the dvd, I booted back up into Windows, opened File Explorer and in My PC, the disc was recognised.

So, what is this DVD? Is it the startup disc or something different?

Thanks! Going to try to make a Windows 10 install disc!
