Is Windows 10 really an improvement for games?

Hi.

I've been trying out Win10 for a while and I don't really like it that much. Compared to 8.1, the new OS doesn't really add that much more performance and sometimes older games (which I play a lot) have problems and need workarounds. Also, I find the DX12 benchmarks to be kinda disappointing since it's been hyped to hell.

Now, what do you guys think about Win10 and gaming? Should I just go back to 8.1 and let 10 simmer a bit more longer?

Win10 isn't going to help games much today, but it will likely be important as more DX12 games come to exist. The first waves of games that adopt a new DX version are always last moment changes, and never really take advantage of the new features. It'll likely be a couple years before DX12 really shines.
