Is windows 10 worth it?

I’m looking forward to making a new pc, but the OS is $100. I’ve seen videos saying you could download and use it for free with some minor differences and a watermark. What are these differences and is it worth it to buy it or to save my money towards a better gpu?

You lose some personalization options such as changing the wallpaper and the colors and you get the watermark. If the watermark doesn't bother you and that extra $100 gets you a much better GPU then I'd run Windows unlicensed for now and when you do get the extra money then buy a license from a valid retailer or MS.

you can sometimes still use like if you purchased windows 7 or 8 key when you setup windows 10 being it was a free upgrade.. NOT sure if it still works though. but yea still get it when you can as its a good investment if you need to buy it. (get the OEM version though if you don't need support etc or plan to move to another computer anytime soon.)

Oh, and because the temptation is always there: beware eBay and grey market sites such as G2A and Kinguin. They will tempt you, but they're largely not legitimate keys on sale with poor support in such an event, and at worst, stolen outright.

Ok I will buy it later on, and I don’t have a copy of other windows, because this is my first pc. Thanks for the feedback guys!
