Question Is Windows 11 24H2 less demanding?

I have an old FX6300 cpu and when I installed Windows 11 24H2 I noticed it is considerably less resource hungry. It's so much snappier than before this latest update.

Is this your experience as well with the 24H2 update? Has Microsoft finally decided to make Windows 11 more accessible, like Windows 10?

They also redesigned the windows kernel so that could be part of it as well.

I see others reporting it runs better on old hardware now.

24H2 replaced the entire install so it might seem faster for that reason as well. Version updates often do seem faster. Cumulative updates will fix that over time.
