Is windows 8.1 for gaming?

So I just finished my newly built gaming computer and I don't know if I should get windows 8.1 for it or should I go with windows 7 ultimate. If anyone has windows 8.1 and used it for gaming, what are your thoughts on it. The game I mainly play is WoW.

I assume you're asking about gaming performance?

I use 8.1 and don't see much difference between it and Windows 7. There might be a couple FPS difference, but you won't notice in it the game anyway.

I'd get it because it's cheaper and I don't use a lot of the stuff you get with ultimate. But in terms of games you shouldnt see much in the way of differences, short of any sort of driver issues that havent been addressed yet
