It sometimes runs in my background processes in task manager while playing games such as cod cold war & overwatch and it is located in C:/Windows/System 32 and its properties say that it is Microsoft Corporation copyrighted. I've asked around on reddit and they said that its not a virus but why does it run in background application when doing certain things like gaming. Have I been given false advice and it is a virus, or is it just something that windows, games or drivers does anyways. Thanks

Solution
most of the programs you use in windows use it or powershell to run commands, its an essential part of windows and it wouldn't work without it.
