[SOLVED] Is Windows Defender enough or do I need McAfee?

Hello,
I had recently built a new computer with my dad. My computer has 12 cores, and 32 GB of RAM. Recently, my dad installed McAfee on the computer. I was a bit annoyed because I had heard that McAfee takes up a large amount of the RAM and CPU. But do I actually have to worry about it or will whatever impact McAfee makes be negligible? Should I uninstall McAfee?

Ultimately its up to you, I have never used any antivirus software on my various PCs apart from windows defender. As long as you are careful with what you download, you will be just fine with windows defender, its pretty good nowadays, and free!
