Hi everyone,
Recently, I got a low-cost Chromebook. It comes with a pre-installed Windows 10 Home 64bit version OS. The problem is that doing anything with this notebook is incredibly slow (I understand that what you pay is what you get). Starting up Firefox will always result in the browser hanging. Also, the system will prompt low memory 80% of the time even though only Firefox is opened.
So, I figured that I will downgrade it to windows xp 32bit version instead. However, I don't want to end up with a non-usable Chromebook or end up with even more problems after installing Windows xp 32bit version. Therefore, I need your help to determine whether Windows xp sp3 32 bit version is compatible with this particular notebook.
I have listed out the specifications and let me know if I missed out anything:
Model: Asus Vivobook E200HA
Processor: Intel Atom Z8300 @ 1.44-1.84GHz (quad-core Cherry Trail processor)
Ram: 2GB DDR3 Ram
HDD Storage: 32GB eMMC flash memory storage
USB Ports: two usb ports (3.0 and 2.0)
I have googled around for solutions and I came across user who installed a certain variation of Linux but he encountered sound problem after installation. However, i didn't see anyone trying to install Windows XP on this machine.
Lastly, I am opened to other suggestions that doesn't require me to buy a new laptop (due to budget constraint).
Thank you for your help.
