Is WordPerfect X3 compatable with Windows 7

Are you not wanting to purchase a word processor and WP X3 is all you have? If so, you might want to look at OpenOffice. It's completely free, OpenSource-wise and it's compatible with Office documents and can read word perfect documents.

You can get it at http://www.openoffice.org/

Thanks. I asked the question because I own WPX3 but had to replace my laptop. New one has Win7 OS. I was curious since I really didn't want to purchase WPX4 if I didn't have to. I do legal word processing and all of my docs are WP based. I don't think that a shareware program would fit my need.

It's not shareware. It's a full-fledged office suite that is under the Open Source license. It can make very professional looking documents, spreadsheets and slide presentations.

Before just writing it off (no pun intended), why don't you go and look at it? It's free, it's not crippled and it pretty much does everything that Word Perfect probably can, if not more. It might work out better than trying to make Wordperfect X3 work under Windows 7.
