is wristband really necessary?

hello guys when i build i take my pc case panel off i lie it on the other end of the panel so the surface is metal cause of the other panel and also i take off ym cloths and i dotn wear any clothing that can damage it and also the surface my pc lies is metal and my table is wooden is there a possibiltiy i could electrocute my pc whn i build ro upgrade? or is a wristband really necessary?

Well, wearing a wristband would make taking off your clothes unnecessary.

Touch a grounded object, e.g. a radiator just before touching your hardware. Any hardware nowadays have esd protection onboard, it's not that risky to damage these.

my motherboard has ESD protection from antistatic does ti mean its safe?

Esd protecting Components are soldered on the board. But it's still good to ground yourself before touching.
