So i'm going for a RAM upgrade very soon and i was looking on PC SPECS for RAM compitability with my motherboard.
Specs:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.8
4Gb DDR2 333MhZ
ASRock G41C-GS
GTX 750Ti
----------
I was googling and found a website which listed alot of RAM's¸(http://www.asrock.com/mb/memory/G41C-GS.pdf)
And later on i went on PC SPECS for giggles and found some better RAM's on the website that are "Compatible" with my Motherboard and procesor. So is PC SPECS right about the RAM compatibility? And yes i had compatibility filters turned on.

Solution
it supports up to 1333 if you oc the cpu. but 1066 out the box. which is what i would go for now ive looked up the spec sheet.
reason is your likely to get the 1066 cheaper and it will have lower latencies.

also try and find used ram as it will be a lot cheaper than the current new prices of ddr2
yes that site is ok and btw your motherboard can support upto 8gb of ram .

*DDR3 and DDR2 are supported separately.

**Due to the operating system limitation, the actual memory size may be less than 4GB for the reservation for system usage under Windows® 32-bit OS. For Windows® 64-bit OS with 64-bit CPU, there is no such limitation.

***In order to maximize the system memory, please install 4GB memory module with 16 cells or 2GB memory modules with at least 8 cells.

if u have a 4gb stick get a same stick and put 4gb in each motherboard slot .

and if u upgrade to DDR3 ram , this will increase your performance , your mobo suppors DDR3 .

Your Board supports DDR3 and DDR2 RAM, but you can't mix them. The compatibility list is not complete most of the time. They list just the memory they testet on the board, but other ram-sticks could work just fine. To maximise you memory you have to either get two 4GB DDR2 or two 4GB DDR3 Sticks. More than 8Gb is not supported. The slow FSB of your CPU will reduce the speed anyways, so the performance increase of DDR3 is not significant.

MERGED QUESTION
Question from arandomdudefromslo : "ASRock G41C-GS RAM HELP!"

Can someone help me to pick the best RAM for G41C-GS (Max. is 8gb). I was looking at DDR3 1333Mhz 2x4Gb.
And that it will work with the motherboard ofcourse! Thanks in advance
