[SOLVED] is XPG gammix d10 32gb 3200mhz 2x16 ram single rank or dual rank

I been trying to do my own research on this but I can never find anything reliable so I wanted to ask if anyone knew if these were single or dual rank ram sticks.(its the AX4U3200316G16A-DS10)

part number(AX4U3200312G12A-DS10 ) is pretty much messed up
acording to your posted part number its 12GB ram @ 3200MHz sticks with CL12 (14 is lowest you can go with ddr4)
if memory config is correct in that part number, then it would be 1024x8, which is 8GB, to get 32GB with this config, then 2 dual sided sticks is 32GB ram

The general rule of thumb, unless proven otherwise, is 16GB DDR4 RAM modules are dual rank.

thats not true anymore, 16GB single rank modules are being produced for a while now

here you can see it in component config code

in your case part number has number 3 , which would be 1024x8 (8GB ram), that means to get 32GB out of 8GB ram config, you will need either two dual sided sticks or 4 single sided sticks,
from package code which has code D in you part number, its the option with two sticks

hi, just asking if we can install ram, 2 sticks with component config code(AX4U320038G16A-DT41) and (mine) 2 sticks without configuration code(AX4U32008G16A-ST41) to make it 32gb?

sure you can install them, but they may not work all together, ram timings might need to be reconfigured in case xmp setting wont be loose enough to support such mixture

So I need to find 2 more with same config, anyway thanks for helping. now quite sure to buy which one to add more ram to my pc.
