Isn't that Anti TCC thing overboard??

It seems kind of overboard to me. It's like it checks your files when
you log on then it checks them half way through the game...

I got booted tonight for upgrading to 3224 or whatever the name of the
latest patch is...

I don't know... It seems like anti-cheat mods should know what they're
looking for.

And since this mod doesn't upload all my files so they can be checked
for consistency, and since when you download a mod you won't download
it if its already on your system, it seems cheaters can install a
hacked Anti TCC on there system and just send back the appropiate
data...

Are there really aimbots on UT2004/2003?? I remember with the original
UT the original aimbot was created by "Dr. Sin" who created "Client
Side Hack Proctection" after his aimbot was supposedly "leaked"... I
can't believe the makers of the game would allow an aimbot to be
created so easily after all the problems with UT, which didn't emerge
until more than a year after the game was out...

They do know what they are looking for, but there are many places where someone
could hide it. They are only going over those files.

The server asks for a checksum on antitcc (and any other stuff the server is
running). It it has been changed, you'll get a version mismatch error. That
being said, you could probably modify the game to send the correct checksums,
and then modify antitcc to send out whatever they want. There is probably more
protection than that, but I'm sure if you try hard enough someone could get
around it.

There are indeed aimbotters on UT2004. I've played against at least one who was
VERY obviously aimbotting. It's quite easy to tell when you spectate them.
It's also quite obvious when they can hit you and everyone with a lightning gun
instantly, never missing a single shot. And then, when we all realized he was
aimbotting, and started avoiding him, and his team (playing Onslaught) started
to lose, he switched teams to be on the winning side...that was just pathetic.
