Hey there, I just bought a new ASUS GeForce 970 OC edition today and removed my 660ti. The pc booted up using it's default gpu (didn't recognize the new card) so I inserted the ASUS disc and installed dirty thing. After the installation, I rebooted and now the computer will not get past the Starting Windows screen.

Please help!

Specs:
Windows 7 64 bit
Intel i7 860 2.8ghz
Corsair 600w
14gb 1333 MHz

Solution
Try booting to safe mode

Msconfig
Disable all startup items. See if that helps. If not load the last known good config.

If that doesn't work do a windows system restore to a few days back.

Try this.

Use the on-board video.
Boot to safe mode.
Remove the drivers.
Shut down
Remove GPU from PCIE
Boot to Safe Mode again
Control Panel >> Programs and Features >> remove all NVIDIA products
Download new drivers from the NVIDIA website.
shutdown
Install GTX970 into PCIE again
Plug your monitor into the new GPU
Boot Windows normally
Use the file you downloaded to install the driver.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I have just tried this but can not do the last step where I need to boot windows normally. I can not get past the starting windows screen again.
