I just upgraded my PC from an old Asus z170k MB to a Gigabyte z370 Aurous Gaming 5 MB and CPU from an i7 6700k to an i7 8700k. Before the upgrade i had three monitors working just fine with my setup simply by enabling the on-board graphics or whatnot in the BIOS, however after installing the equipment i had to re-enable that and now the monitor does not seem to want to be detected at all. Two of my screen are running through my GPU which is a 980 TI One is through the HDMI and my main monitor is through DVI. The rest of the the display outputs on the gpu are display ports which i dont have the cable to connect to, so i use an HDMI cable to connect to the MB. If there is anything i can do to try and make my third monitor work again im all ears.

Solution
If the IGP is forced to enabled in BIOS, the IGP drivers are installed and enabled in the OS, and the display output on the secondary adapter/IGP is also enabled, it should work.
