So I have a 512GB NVME SSD (one of the types that fits into a slot on the motherboard) and am wanting to upgrade it to a 1TB Samsung NVME SSD.
When I tried to image the drive (using an external enclosure and Acronis TrueImage 2020) it seems when I try to boot to the new SSD, Windows goes into Repair mode and tries to diagnose boot problems,

I've tried different ways of doing this:
Tried imaging the existing SSD to the new SSD using TrueImage
I even tried restoring the full back to the 512GB drive, and then imaging over to the new 1TB and then booting from the 1TB ssd (same thing)
Tried restoring the full backup image I made with TrueImage to the new 1TB SSD

In either case, Windows goes into Recovery mode on boot and tries to diagnose the boot issues....

I don't seem to have any problems when I did this when I was using a regular SATA SSD drive but when I moved over to an NVME SSD I can't seem to be able to migrate from one drive to another...

Thoughts on this?
