Question Issue with a Dell AW3418DW now showing white smudge defects.

I've had this monitor since prob 2019 if not before that and few months ago a white smudge showed up which looks like backlight bleeding but worse which its not your typical backlight bleeding such monitors has. today another area now has a similar smudge. I'm sure its just age but i feel this monitor should be middle age and should not have such issues. Also want to note, i dont move this monitor, no moisture, no humidity a cool room 24/7, monitor has been sitting here for most of its life.

That would be a sign that your panel is giving up/out. I've had it on two of my panels and the smudge will end up growing larger and larger over time. No fix, actually.
