I’m having an issue connecting an Acer Aspire 5733 laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium. When connected to the Comcast modem model CGM4140com I open the Network Connections/ Local Area Network and it reads,” Network cable unplugged Broadcom Net link Ethernet. When I run diagnostics on the adapter the message reads no Ethernet cable connected or broken. I did use several different Cat5 cables. I currently use the wireless connection, but would like to take advantage of the 1GB router from Comcast. I also have two other Acer Aspire using the wireless connection, but have the same issue. I can't connect to the internet with any of the laptops. I highly doubt all network ports are and I tried a different port on the modem/router. Any assistance would be appreciated. As always, thank you.
