Question Issue with an old HDD. Disk just spins and stops

Hello,

I have a Maxtor YAR41BW0, 80GB ATA HDD. It is pretty old, I haven't used it for some years. When I try to run it using an external rack the disk spins and stops constantly while the head reader moves jerkily.

The data on it is not that important, but I'd still want to have it fixed if still possible. What do you think is the issue?
