I'm running a recently upgraded system.
Intel® Core™ i5-7600K Processor
ASRock Z270 Extreme4
Vengeance® LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz
Samsung SSD 850 EVO
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 6GB.
When i'm playing blu-ray discs (using cyberlink powerDVD) i find after a period of time i'll start getting short pauses and the disc keeps playing.. almost like a skip. (brand new discs).
When this happens, i will move my mouse slowely along the screen and i'll see it do a little freeze/skip as well.
A consistant way to make it happens i've noticed lately, is if i have power DVD open, i'll minimise it and then run a video through a web browser for a bit, when i go back the playback will do the skip/jitter. But it's only on the blu-ray playback, and if i go into youtube it'll run fine.
I've also noticed times where the screen it's playing back on will go full screen snow, and then turn back to normal again.
I keep my drivers up to date with Driver Booster, and keep windows/driver updates as up to date as they can be.
On top of this, when i'm playing it back and load up adobe products (photoshop/dreamweaver) the video will go disappear / go black and then re-appear i suppose as the product finished loading.. sometimes if i close a window within dreamweaver it'll do the same (in code view).
My concern is that when i was playing the latest call of duty i recall when i put the settings up too high it looked beautiful but occasionally would do a sudden freeze in that every few seconds...
I'm worried there's an issue with the graphics card, but weird that it is such specific problems.
Any help at all would be amazing! i'm hoping somebody might have some idea of what's happening...
One last thing i do remember when first setting up my pc when running it, there was a specific driver which was very old and when i would update it it would stop my PC from booting... eventually i just stopped updating it and kept going.
Going in the driver in question is:
Intel 200 Series Chipset Family Thermal subsystem - A2B1
Also - Please note i have not overclocked anything. The ram is running on what i believe is the correct profile.
And i've noticed random mouse lag (where it'll disappear and re-appear on the screen) when doing things like coping files to a network drive. Yet when i do that at work on the computer there it doesn't lag and it's not even as high speced or maintained. Currently doing a 7zip and notice it's doing the same thing.
Feel like it could be the graphics card, or the CPU, but they're both new... it's highly frustrating!
