Issue with computer doesn't do anything but turns on

Finished putting computer together now it doesn't get anywhere

I switch ram
I clear battery cmos
Speaker doesn't make noise
Just black screen no display
And fans are full speed I think. they are loud

I bought most parts couple of weeks ago on craigslist and ordered new ones Like case and power supply

I5 4690k Delid
Z97 Asus
12GB Ram (2 Sticks and 2 Sticks of 2GB and 4GB)
Gigabyte GTX 970
Seasonic 520 Watt PowerSupply

They were selling for reasonable price the guy said it works are PC parts this fragile then?

you got a delidded cpu....that means the guy has removed the cpu from the motherboard for no ohter reason than it was overheating. probably overclocked, he did a delid, and now it doesnt work. i dont think you got a good a good deal. i dont think you got a "out of the box, working pc" you bought a pc thrown together for parts.

So you sure it''s the CPU?
The guy texted me today saying he took it out of the pc and that's all he did.....didn't even take the cooler off. I will try to get a refund then

Never by a Delid , more than likely it was abused or the Delid failed.

Guy gave me i5 4670 in exchange. Works now. I don't think he killed it.
