Hi

For work, I must have a hard wired ethernet cable from my Hub to my PC.

All was OK simply connecting my Plusnet Hub (UK) to my PC but wifi was poor for my TV and Firestick in another room.

I purchased the Devolo Magic2 WiFi next BUT since connecting it to my hub, I have lost my original connection to my pc

HELP

My setup is as follows;

OFFICE POWER
mains socket - devolo lan unit plugged in - extension cable plugged in to outlet of devolo - plusnet hub + printer + pc all on extension cable
OFFICE ETHERNET
devolo - hub connected to devolo by ethernet - pc connected to hub by ethernet

With the above OFFICE configuration, my ethernet hub to pc connection does not show any longer.

LOUNGE POWER

mains socket - devolo wifi unit plugged in - tv plugged in through devolo
mains socket - Firestick plugged in
LOUNGE ETHERNET
devolo - tv connected to devolo by ethernet
devolo - firestick connected to devolo by ethernet

With the above LOUNGE configuration, my ethernet devolo to firestick opens a config page and wont connect automatically.

I did call devolo tech this morning, and after waiting in queue for 15 mins was immediately cut off when answered = not good

Your wiring is not correct. You must connect your incoming cable to your PlusNet Hub (which is actually a combined modem and router). Then connect your DeVolo to one of the LAN ports on the gateway. The other DeVolo unit is then placed in the second location to provide the wireless for the area and the signal gets to it over your home power wiring.

And that still leaves 3 unused LAN ports on your PlusNet, use one for your PC and the other two as needed.

The key is that your gateway (PlusNet) continues to act as your router and its DHCP service will keep operating, even for devices attached by wireless to the distant DeVolo unit.
