Issue with display devices

Hi. I recently (yesterday) did a clean install of Windows 8.1 on my laptop after experiencing some issues with Windows 10. My problem is that none of my display devices work. I have an Intel HD Graphics 4000 and an AMD Radon HD 8800M. In my Device Manager -> Display Adapters it says that the AMD device was shut down because it reported problems (Code 43) and the Intel display device shows only as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.

Now, when I try to manually install the Intel drivers it appears to work, I restart my laptop and then the screen goes black after the splash screen. I have to restart into safe mode and roll back the Intel drivers to fix this, but then I'm stuck with the MBDA like mentioned above. Again, the OS was installed cleanly yesterday, I haven't touched it other than attempting to install my display drivers.

The same thing basically happens when I attempt to install the AMD drivers, but here the screen goes black during install and doesn't go back.

One curious thing to note is that it worked for a brief moment when I first booted the laptop up this morning. The AMD GPU didn't work, but my Intel chip did until I had to restart my laptop. Then it was back to black screen.

I would really appreciate any insight.

Thanks in advance.

Solution
I think the AMD auto-detect utility will solve any display-driver issues..

Another tool which has helped me a lot is the Iobit Driver Booster software.. It's a free software and will update almost all drivers, the download speed is a little slow in the free version..
