I have a ryzen 7 2700x, liquid cooled with a corsair hydro series H100i v2. Whenever I boot up the pc, ryzen master will show 80 degrees celsius (176 fahrenheit), after just 2 minutes. It will then steadily climb to 101 degrees celsius (214 fahrenheit), cooler fans will go haywire, and the pc promptly shut itself off. If I touch the cooler, its not hot at all, so my take from this is that the cpu readings are wildly off, but im not sure. Any thoughts?

If the PC shuts itself off - it's not wild at all - it's protecting itself.
This sounds to me like the cooler isn't adequately seated.

I would remove, reapply thermal paste and rescure as per the installation guide first.

Is there any way the CPU's thermostat is faulty? The readings have always been a little off... And it has worked fine these past couple of months. Only this past week it has acted up like this.
