Question Issue with installing a 175hz DisplayPort cable ?

Cable: Capshi DisplayPort Cable 8K 1.4
Monitor: Philips Evnia 34M2C8600 (1.4 port is 3rd port)
GPU: Speedster MERC 310 AMD Radeon RX 7900XT (1.4 port is port 2 and 3)

I need assistance with installing DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.4 cable.

I did read the how to connect to a 120hz display above as well.

My Monitor is set to auto-detect port connections.

When I plug into my DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.4 cable it goes black and becomes undetected.

I confirmed I am plugged into the correct ports.

The ports 2 and 3 are DisplayPort 1.4 on my Speedster MERC310 AMD Radeon RX 7900XT.

The port 3 on my Philips Evnia 34M2C8600 monitor is DisplayPort 1.4: 1x

I have updated my Windows 11 and the GPU drivers direct from the AMD web site just to be sure.

When I shut everything down and unplugged all power from display and pc it had same effect.

When I plugged both cables in at same time I got a auto switch over to the new DisplayPort cable YAY, ....but I noticed it was showing on my desktop in high resolution with 175hz, but I had no desktop icons.
However I could see and use my mouse and see and access my toolbar. I am getting confused greatly now lol please any help would be awesome and appreciated, Thank you.

never heard of that display cable.

is the display port cable making proper contact with the gpu or is it being pushed away by the case take a picture of the cable plugged in at the back of the case if your unsure. you may have to relign the graphics card for a better fit or a diffrent cable.

where are you based at ? usa uk europe etc

Found the issue, so I am using a HYTE Y70 Case and it has a display on the case. When i disconnected that BOOM i got my main screen back with all options. But as soon as i plugged that case screen back in aswell then my desktop moved back over to the case screen lol, so now i got to figure out how to stop that lol. But yea they are calling these cables DP or display port 1.4 cables to handle high HZ rates like 175. I am Colorado USA.

You need to go into display settings and change which display is the primary 1 or 2. The display on the case is showing up as primary. Had similar issue with the way the nexus software was setting up the case monitor.
