im trying to install a i5 3570k lga1155 to replayce my i3, and whenever i power it up it turns on (after a short delay) then turns off a few seconds later. it then repeats the process, even turning on slightly after i flipped the power switch
I put the old i3 back in and it ran like normal. my mother board only has a 4pin for the psu, and the psu is 700w and has 2 4 pin ends.
i'm not sure what the issue is, but im going to exchange the i5 soon.

and the psu is
700 Watts - Standard Power Supply - SLI/CrossFireX Ready [+8]
