Hey guys first off specs:

Motherbaord: ROG B450F
CPU: Ryzen 3700x
Ram: 32gb Trident Z 3200mhz
GPU: EVGA RTX 2080 Super FTW 3 Ultra
PSU: Corsair 750HX

Note: I am using a Gpu vertical mount with a thermaltake cable.

Problems: Recently upgraded from a 1070ti to the 2080 super. First install everything working great. Go to use it another day and having huge fps issues in League of Legends (only getting 60 fps was previously getting 240.) tried reinstalling and cleaning drivers. tried plugging directly into motherboard without riser and seeing better performance. Possible issue with riser cable or am I missing something else? Also was hearing audio cut outs and freezing and black screen flickering.

Solution
Thank you that seems to confirm my suspension of the riser causing this issue. Wonder why it affected that card more then my 1070Ti.
Well i have two builds i also have a 1070Ti in my second pc with the vertical coolermaster kit and never had a single black screen or any kind of problem the only thing that can come to my mind is that because the 2080 requires more power than the 1070Ti there is not enough power coming from the riser and thats why the card freeze or give black screen.

Had RTX 2080 i did a remake with my pc and bought a new case that could support vertical gpu mount so i decided to buy the coolermaster pcie riser and install it verticaly. After that for one month my pc had random black screens and freezes with a beeping sound from my headset. Everything start to work properly again when i removed the pcie riser and install the gpu directly to the motherboard.
