[SOLVED] Issue with quest2 audio in virtualdesktop

Hi all,

I have what seems to be a strange issue.

System is as in my signature.
I used to have an oculus rift and used virtual desktop all the time with no issues.
Sound in all apps so far, both native quest2 apps as well as link apps works as expected in the headset
In virtualdesktop sound goes to the computer speakers/earphones no matter what i select (whether i select the virtual desktop audio or the earphones etc)
I googled a bit a tried the following with no success: disbling the oculus audio device in device manager, reinstalling virtualdesktop, restarting, turning on and off the audio driver from within virtualdesktop

Could someone please advise?

so i got advice from someone and it solved the issue. posting here in case someone else will face the same problem.

from within virtual desktop, in the audio tab, disable the audio driver
in windows, select the "Oculus virtual audio device"
1. note that it may be disabled. if so go to all devices and enable it, then select it

and thats it!
