Hello guys, i'm kinda new, was looking for decent forum to tell about my issue to spec tech people :)

So i bought RTX 3080 Gigabyte Eagle edition, switched from GTX 1080

The issue is that RTX 3080 while playing definitelly turns off my computer, just like that, randomly after 10min, 15min, not able to reach more than that.
Was testin The Division maxed in 2k, now testing WoW with full FPS possible to reach full card performance
TD2 = was on approx 71 degree
WoW = with same clocks usage = was less than 60 degree <--- AFTER 20min still good no issue (after burner on boost 1966MHz/9501MHz

First i tought is my PSU - thermaltake toughpower grand rgb 750W, because i connect GPU by one cable with 2x 6+2pin, then i read it suppose to be on 2 different cables with 6+2pin... so i've done that and the same issue happend. So now i'm lost...

rest spec:
i5 9600k
32GM RAM 2666mhz
ASUS PRIME Z370M-PLUS II
2x SSD
2x SSD M.2 (one is in PCI-E x16 slot trough adapter)
CPU clooking - Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L RGB

Is there any difference in one PCI cable if i'll choose farer or closer connector? because single cable got 2x 6+2pin, i'm using this longer (farer) one, but i guess they both are the same

doesn't the 3080 need 3x6+2 or 8 pin cables?

BTW congrats on actually having a 3080 in hand :)

Heh nope this model got 2x 6+2pin, as it needs about 320-350W, 2x 8 = 300W + PCI-E = 75W so fair enough...

NEW INFO: played CoD: Warzone on full settings the same..., but on LOW, and 144hz it runs without any probles.... not event reach max 144fps

This makes it sound like a thermal issue. Definitely keep it on separate 6+2 pin cables. Depending on the inner workings of the PSU this may or may not make a difference but separate is the best option, just in case.
I've read several issues where 3080 cards are crashing despite okay temps. Try running HWiNFO64 (sensors only, logging on), in the background, while you game. You will hopefully get a non-corrupt log file after the crash and reboot. Upload the log file somewhere so we can have a look.

I've read about many issues where cards are having issues as supposedly okay temps. Try running HWiNFO64 (sensors only, logging on), in the background, while you game. You will hopefully get a non-corrupt log file after the crash and reboot. Upload the log file somewhere so we can have a look.

Honestly? i turned off coolers in WoW, and it went to 82, then i turn then ON again, to cool card down, and there was no issue, you think it's thermal? weird things happend, its turns comptuer off only with full load, performance etc.

https://gofile.io/d/ciazJb here you go, it's CSV with logs before it crashed

P.s.
Tested The Division 2 - 144hz + LOW settings <-- fine, temperature about 52
Tested The Division 2 - 144h + MID settings <--- fine (but i heard a little some noises from PSU i guess) temperature abot 62
Tested The Divison 2 - 144hz - HIGH settings <---- crashed (nosies was a little bit more notable) temperature was about 70

One more thing - noticed when i turned fans on GPU off, and just ALT TAB from pulpit to the game, then PSU fan was fully spin + these noises. I guess that 750W is not enough with full load, i mean it's enough for some time, but right after it dies, and becuase PSU is fully loaded it has higher temperatures that can't handle then just turning off
