[SOLVED] Issue with shift key>

i'm sorry if this doesn't belong here, i had no idea where to put it.

I recently started having an issue where my keyboard wIll randomly start 'pressing' mY shift key wHenever it decides it wants to.

if i try to press it, it doesn't actually work though. I'll be playing overwatch or somethinG and it wiLl randomly bE like i'm pressing shift as fast as the system can accept inputs.

i've tried 2 different keyboArds and same issue on both.

Membrane or mechanical keyboard? If its membrane then the thin circuits under the membrane may be damaged. If its mechanical then switch maybe damaged.

I'd think that was the issue, but it happens on 2 different keyboards and will resolve itself if I reboot my computer.

Does the same happen in safe mode? Try to reinstall usb drivers

It seems that if I go to switch to a new user, and then switch back to mine the problem resolves itself. Is it possible there's a "corruption" in my user files somewhere?

Maybe, try to create a new Adminstrator account and use that
