So I was testing out a stick of ram.

It is 8gb Samsung 2666 ddr4.

I had previously set in my bios to run the ram I use at 2400.

The computer booted up with this Samsung stick of 2666, at 2400 because that's what I had set.

So I went into the bios and set it to automatically detect what the frequency is... and the computer will not boot.

I get 4 beeps and then the cpu fan and all run but there is no display.

I tested out other ram sticks and all work fine with the auto detect.

I went back into the bios and set it back to 2400, and the computer boots up fine with the Samsung stick.

My next step is to set it at 2666 and see if it will run at that.

Any help understanding why this is happening?

Thank you
