Question Issues after installing SSD - Inspiron 15 5579

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 5579 2-in-1 with a 1 TB HDD. I imaged the HDD to a new Crucial MX500 1 TB SSD and it started giving me power issues within a few hours of installing the SSD. The computer would randomly shut off and not start on occasion. One time I even had it plugged in to the charger for a few hours and it didn't charge the battery. I have swapped it in an out a few times with the old HDD with the same results. Everything works fine with the HDD in but after I put the SSD back in I start having the issues all over again. What could be causing this?

Bump... Anyone have suggestions?
Dell says max size SSD is 512 MB, but my understanding is that is really just in regards to tested physical size of the drive?
