Issues booting up and shutting down PC

Hey folks,

I have the following issues with my self-built PC:

  • ■ The PC doesn't reliably boot up when I press the power button. If it doesn't boot up and I leave it it will boot up x hours later.
    ■ When I turn off the PC, the CPU fan will continue spinning.
    ■ If the CPU fans are spinning, the power button does nothing. I have to press restart.
    ■ When I boot up the PC it displays the time incorrectly. I have to turn toggle 'Set time automatically' off and then on again to correct it. The time will then gradually alter the longer the PC is on.

Apart from the above the PC runs well with no stuttering, no frame drops and while running fairly intensive games. I initially thought that the PSU was faulty (it was from my old PC) so bought a new one to no avail. I updated my BIOS to the latest version and disabled Fast Start or whatever with no joy.

Specs:

  • Mobo: ASRock AB350M PRO4
CPU: AMD Ryzen 2600 3.4 GHz
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1060 WindForce OC 3GB
    RAM: Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 3000 MHz
SSD: SanDisk 120gb, Crucial 240gb (reused, from old rig)
    Cooler: Cryorig C7
Case: NZXT 210 (reused, from old rig)
Windows 10 Pro v1803 (bought cheap from a semi-legitimate website but activated fine).

Any help would be appreciated! The issues have persisted for some time and I'm stuck with what to look at/change/replace next.

Thanks!

data and time isue..bad cmos battery or cmos jumper on the wrong pins and it in the clear mode. check that the cmos battery is in right. (replace the cmos battery and clear the bios and then try updating it.) if data and time still bad you have a bad cmos chip and the mb needs to be replaced.
