Question Issues connecting a PS3 controller

Hey guys I finally got my PS3 controller today and I've been having some issues connecting it with a USB cord. Browsed around on the web and watched some tutorials on how to and still no luck.

You can try this method. Quite a few users have had good results with it.

If you have Windows 10 build 1800 or higher it may not work. But still worth a shot.

If you still have issues I would recommend maybe looking at getting a PS4 controller. It has better support and with a 2.0 bluetooth dongle it is very easy to just use Windows Bluetooth and pair to the PS4 controller without any extra software needed.

I do have windows 10, I'm not sure if it's build 1800 or not. It seems to pickup the controller but is "stuck" in the installing device screen.

I'm not interested in a PS4 controller because of that huge pad on the front, that's specifically why I bought a PS3 one.
