Question Issues connecting multiple devices to drawing tablet

I don't have space on my desk for two monitors, so I plug both my PC and Nintendo Switch into my drawing tablet (Huion Kamvas GT 221 Pro) as my primary - and only - display.
The tablet has 3 input ports; 1x HDMI, 1x DVI-DL, 1x VGA.
I used to route both devices through a HDMI switcher and that into the tablet's HDMI port, long story short that's no longer an option.
Now, my Switch is plugged in via HDMI and my PC via DVI, both directly into the tablet. Each device works fine if plugged in individually, but if both are plugged in, the tablet will immediately revert back to DVI whenever I set it to use the HDMI source. This means I effectively can't use it to display Switch games while my PC is plugged in, despite the tablet's OSD having an input choosing option.
Is there any fix for this, beyond unplugging/replugging my devices every time? Any help is appreciated.
