Hi, i have an issue controlling my case fans by any means at all. I have searched through BIOS multiple times and tried fan controlling software such as SpeedFan and Asus own Ai suite 2.

The motherboard i have is an Asus p9x79 ws, which i have connected my 6 case fans to.

2x 120mm fans running on a splitter to one fan connector.
3x 140mm fans connected to their own seperate connectors.
1x 90mm 3-pin fan.

Using Ai suite 2 made it possible to controll the fans to some degree but i would still like for them to run slower. Additionally it also made my system very unstable so i chose to use speedfan instead. However uninstalling ai suite 2 has increased fan speeds again, i guess to around 60%(im not certain because i dont know how to check for fan speed data)

Now, speedfan only seems to detect 5 fans, with 3 of the displayed "fans" showing rpm readings, the sysFan, CPU fan and AUX Fan.
The only one that is manually controllable is the Sys Fan, which only controls one of the 140mm fans.
The Cpu fan displays 7180 rpm, presumably because i have my watercooler pump powered off the cpu header.
Aux fan displaying about.1100, while Aux1 fan and Aux2 fan displays 0.

The BIOS doesnt seem to have much of a fan controlling capability, only showing some sort of minimum fan speed rpm allowance, which i have set to its lowest 200rpm on all fans. I think its a shame if there is literarily no way to controll the fanspeeds on such an expensive motherboard.

Im getting a headache just from the fan noise atm, so yeah, any ideas or tips appreciated! :D

Would certainly be a lot easier than troubleshooting this much. Im just kinda disappointed that a motherboard in this price class wouldnt allow for users to manually set fan speeds. :(

yeah, it seems like it would, but if speedfan doesn't work, I don't know what would.
