Issues installing GTX 1050

I am having issues trying to install my ZOTAC GTX 1050 2GB mini. I am trying to figure out what the issue is with my system. I have had (until earlier today) a Corsair CX430 watt power supply. I tried installing my new GPU a few days ago only to find that the PC would power on but nothing would boot up. After doing some research online I found out that it may be that the GPU and rest of the rig are too demanding for my current PSU. So, I did some research and bought a new PSU on Monday. It got in earlier today so i tried installing it and the GTX 1050 only to have the same issue. My replacement PSU is a Smart series ThermalTake 600 watt PSU. So, I am very certain the PSU is not the issue. I know it isn't a faulty PSU either because I am typing on the very rig I am having issues with. It only fails to boot up when I have the GTX 1050 installed on my MOBO, so I am not sure where the issue could lie. I also looked around seeing that I will need to uninstall the drivers from my old GPU prior to installation of this GPU, however I don't think that's possible as my GPU prior to getting the 1050 is the GPU side of my AMD APU. Please help me figure out what the issue might be, thanks

In what manner does the PC not boot up with the 1050 installed?

The silly thing to eliminate: are you connecting the monitor to the 1050 when it is installed?

Most motherboards should default to the PCIe graphics card if one is installed, though some may require the selection to be made manually. As such, you would need to change this in the BIOS.

Yes it's plugged into the gpu when I boot it up. It's not booting in that it powers up, everything starts spinning and the lights come on but nothing shows up on the monitor

Update the BIOS on the motherboard if you haven't. Pascal cards do have trouble with some older motherboards, but that one should be new enough. Might just be lacking some little bit of firmware.
