Issues partitioning my western digital 2tb Green HDD

OKAY, so just yesterday i bought a 2TB western digital 2TB green HDD. I bought it used from a seller and prior me giving cash to this seller the HDD looked fine. It was nice an heavy and nothing seems outta the ordinary.



Now i am having a hard time formatting/partitioning this HDD. The HDD shows up in bios and sometimes shows up in my computer whenever i log into windows 10. BUT, for some reason, i just can't seem to partition it properly. Like so far i tried to partition this HDD in many different ways just to get it to start working. But, after i partition this HDD, i can't seem to transfer any files. Even something light as a picture, the HDD would kinda stall or just freeze up.

Is there anyway i can fix this? I know i took a risk buying a used/ maybe refurbished HDD from a seller over kijiji aka craigslist for ppl in Canada. But the seller i bought it from is selling multiple of other items, so i trusted him and in the process of trying to exchange this item.



Right now i am just finding no solutions trying to partition this HDD, cause thats the only thing thats stoping me from using this HDD fully. But even if i find a solution to partition this HDD i can't seem to be able to transfer any files.

Hi, thanks for the quick response, but i don't think its any cable issues. I even used my external docking station and it shows up on all cases, it just doesn't work properly when it comes to transferring files, or partitioning my HDD properly.

I also used the software you recommended it and indicates that it "PASS"
