Question Issues using "Guitar Hero" guitar on PC ?

i have no idea if this is even the right place to post this kind of question but ill try anyways... so a couple days ago i got into clone hero and i busted out my old ps2 guitars and bought an adapter to use for my computer and everything worked for like the first 2 days and out of nowhere 3 of the buttons on the guitar stopped working. I tried using my other ps2 guitar but the same buttons on that controller didnt work either. I tried getting a new adapter off amazon but to no avail, the new adapter didn't work and had the same issue.
